Samsung already announced that it's new Galaxy Note 3 will arrive on all of America's major carriers soon, and today AT&T and T-Mobile have confirmed the availability of the company's enormous new smartphone. AT&T is opening pre-orders today, pricing the handset at $299.99 with a two-year contract. It says orders will begin shipping "around October 1st." The Note 3 will arrive on T-Mobile October 2nd, a day later than AT&T. Verizon has yet to announce its pricing or release date, but leaked promotional material suggests the carrier will also begin pre-orders today. A photo published by Android Spinshows that Verizon will offer the Note 3 at $299.99 on a two-year contract, and will also push a $599.98 Galaxy Gear bundle.
Both AT&T and T-Mobile mention the Galaxy Gear in their press releases, but the exact release date of the new smartwatch isn't clear. T-Mobile says the Gear will be available alongside the Galaxy Note 3 on October 2nd at the previously announced price of $299.99. AT&T says the watch will be available in "the coming weeks," but doesn't give a firm date. Fom the leaked photo, it appears Verizon will launch the Gear at the same time as the Note 3. AT&T and Verizon could sell the Galaxy Gear on October 1st, but for now, all we know is the Gear will definitely be available October 2nd from T-Mobile. Of course, the Galaxy Gear won't be tied to a contract, so there's nothing stopping you from dropping into any store that has the watch in stock and picking one up.
